![]() ![]() My old Nexus 10 running 5.1 just turned into a second monitor that looks amazing and has all the capability of touch for Android. So this basically turns an old Android tablet into a touch screen for windows that can work over wifi, with no lag. Even a smaller, 34-inch ultrawide like the Alienware AW3423DW or Gigabyte G34WQC-A offer similar benefits. Similar benefits apply to editing high-resolution photos or large Excel spreadsheets. So, I thought I'd push my luck and try wifi.I thought there was no way in hell it wouldn't lag (at least a little). A dual-monitor setup sticks a border in the middle of the editing timeline, but an ultrawide can display a long, unbroken video editing timeline. Videos played perfectly and I could not believe that you can switch to touch on the Android tablet and everything worked exactly like it would normally, yet I'm in Windows. So, I downloaded SuperDisplay, set it up using usb and tried it out. for both PC and Mac using Android tablets but.there was always something off.Įither lots of lags or windows (as in on screen windows) sort of not playing right with each other after a while. I've tried Duet Display, SpaceDesk, Splashtop, etc. If you're coming from an iPad and used Duet Display (like I did), SuperDisplay is the app you're looking for.ĭude.this software is.fucking amazing. iDisplay has some nice Features other apps havent, like bringing a window to the iOS devices Display from the IOS Display itself, or zooming the Display, while being cumbersome to use this feature. That was unexpected and super impressive. i use (used, tried) various second Screen Solutions, like Air Display 3, duet, iDisplay, but on iOS devices. Even from the Tab home screen, I was looking at my desktop literally three seconds after plugging in the USB cable. This morning, I plugged my tablet in to my desktop and reached for the SuperDisplay icon on my home screen, but it automatically opened and extended my PC display before I could even touch the screen. I used it on my laptop yesterday and also installed the driver on my desktop but didn't connect it there. After seeing many people here recommend SuperDisplay, I installed it yesterday and paid the $10 for it within five minutes. ![]() Same for SpaceDesk and a few others I've tried. The built-in screen sharing works fine at home, but I had several disconnects and it's not a good option outside my home network. For that reason, being able to connect via USB rather than WiFi only was a big factor. This is a feature I use all the time, both at home and when working out and about. The App Store will always confirm the current price before download. After switching to the Tab S7+ from my iPad Pro, I went on the hunt for a great app for extending my PC screen to my tablet. Please bear in mind that, as ever, the discounted price is for a limited time only and could increase at any time. The last time it was available for no cost was more than a year ago! You may use it only on rare occasions, but if you grab the app now while it’s free you’ll be glad to have it if the need ever arises. Normally, this functionality doesn’t come cheap – the app usually sells for $20/£20! But it’s just gone on sale and (at the time of writing) is completely free to download and use. Alternatively, you can use it to mirror exactly what’s seen on the main screen, so you can work on something even while away from the computer. Of course, the app is more useful when coupled with a large iPad, but even an iPhone can be handy to display extra information while you’re working on something on your main computer screen. It’s great for multitasking, can connect via Wi-Fi or a wired connection, and even maintains the touchscreen capabilities of your iOS device. If you ever take a laptop on the road, this is a seriously useful app that could make you twice as productive! IDisplay connects your iPhone or iPad to a Mac or Windows computer to use as an extra screen, meaning you can take advantage of the extra space to work on two things at once. ![]()
